Shooting logs come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and with all types of information. Some of the information is useful other types is kind of pointless. Now the standard Shooting log information can come in a format as well; a computer format. Shooting Resources is introducing a computerized Shooting Log for your computer. As you would expect from Shooting Resources this gun log was made with a huge amount of input from the reader base that they serve. Shooting Resources gun log is an easy and convenient way to keep track of all the shooting that you have done with any weapon. You can track the date, round type, lot number, location, notes and number of rounds fired on a single page. It is simple, secure and to the point.
Now as if this was not enough the program will also print 4 different types of logs from the information you have entered. The Shooting Resources Shooting Log will print a total weapon report. This is all the information on a particular weapon. It covers everything from the name of the owner to the serial number, modifications done, a picture of the weapon and how many total rounds have been fired through it. This is particularly useful if the gun is being sold, traded, or is stolen it can be handed to the investigators. The program will also print a rounds fired report which is simply how many rounds have been fired and when through the weapon. The modification report is a great feature since over time we have a tendency to forget what all has been done to a weapon. So now there is an accurate way to tell someone here is what was done to this weapon and when; again an invaluable feature. Finally it will also print a range report as well. This simply logs all the information about the specific day that you went to the range and there is also a notes section too for additional information. I mentioned above that there is a modification report page. If you thought that means there is a modification page you would be absolutely correct. Within the log there is a page to log all of the modifications that you have done to a particular weapon. Some of the information includes the date, the cost, what type of modification, who did it and notes on it. If you have a gun that is custom or has just had a few minor modifications this feature great to have. Under the set up page in the main menu is where the bulk of the information on a weapon is stored. It logs everything from the manufacturer, type and model to the value, accessories, and even a picture. There is even a place in the set up to log your information such as name and all your contact information. The ease of the Shooting Log from Shooting Resources is amazing. The templates are easy to read and log information in. Adding or changing a picture of your weapon is extremely simple with click and drag. The icons are simple yet eye catching and big enough to be easily read but not intrusive. All the information within the programs is automatically saved so there is no loss of information. The layout is extremely ergonomically and the navigation quick and easy. The information packed into this little program is like nothing else that you will find. For the price of $5.00 you are not likely to find a better deal anywhere else on the market.
